The Voice Behind NST
Hi! I'm Alyssa, the curious brain behind No Small Talk. Since I was a kid, I’ve been the one asking the questions that made adults pause. Fast forward a few decades, and that curiosity has led to a natural inclination towards conversations that come alive and move beyond the surface-level stuff we default to.
I’ve always been energized by how a single question or thought can shift the dialogue, the momentum, even the relationships. I wanted to make that moment more accessible and more fun. So I started curating prompts, testing them with friends (at what I called “No Small Talk Parties”), and realized we were onto something. Laughter got louder and people left feeling more seen. Hence, the NST idea.
When I’m not building NST, you can find me wandering through museums, art exhibitions, or binging True Crime. I’m a southern girl at heart, a lawyer by day, a traveler, and a lifelong questioner. NST is my way of inviting you into that curiosity with me.
